Robopac packs over 150,000 masks for the province of Rimini

The company, free of charge, is creating disposable packs to contain the items arrived from the Region
Covid 19 Masks

April 9, 2020 – From this morning ROBOPAC is providing completely free of charge the packaging in single envelopes of 152,000 masks that Emilia-Romagna Region and the Civil Protection have made available free of charge to the population residing in the province of Rimini. The masks were delivered yesterday to the company in boxes of 50 pieces: ROBOPAC’s task is to separate and package them individually as quickly as possible, obviously paying the utmost attention to all health aspects.

Thanks to the technologies and precautions prepared by ROBOPAC in the Villa Verucchio plant, it will therefore be possible within a few hours to deliver the health devices that the authorities recommend to use in public places to contain the infection. The first packaged masks will begin to be distributed to the population already from this afternoon.

“We provide this service to our community with great pleasure and with a sense of responsibility – commented Alfredo, Enrico and Valentina Aureli president and CEOs of the group – as we are convinced that companies must be at the forefront in facing this emergency by making available technologies, employee and know-how. We have strong roots in our territory thanks to which our companies have established themselves in world markets and we are convinced that all together we will make it. “

Last night we made the complete sanitization of the machines and of the area devoted to the packaging of the masks. ROBOPAC operators are working by adopting all the necessary health precautions and prescriptions, obviously equipped with gloves, scrubs, mask and glasses. Robopac automatic and semiautomatic packaging machines will be used which, thanks to their features of great functionality, reliability and ease of use, find application in the most varied sectors (food, chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, etc.).

All packaging operations will therefore take place according to the strictest hygienic-sanitary safety criteria for both the product and the work environment: the appropriate distances between the staff will be maintained, perfect hand cleaning will be ensured before removing the masks, the worktop will be perfectly sanitized. The masks will be packaged in a clean disposable container using an appropriate packaging film.

Dear Valued Customers and Distributor Partners,

Robopac’s equipment is manufactured in Italy but spends 3-4 weeks in transit from Italy to the US in a marine shipping container. The lifespan of the COVID-19 virus on hard surfaces is much shorter than that. According the National Institutes for Health (NIH), the virus can live 2-3 days on non-porous surfaces such as plastic and stainless steel and up to 24 hours on corrugated paperboard material.  https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/new-coronavirus-stable-hours-surfaces.

Most of the equipment shipped from either of Robopac’s facilities in Portland, Oregon and Duluth, GA has been in the United States for additional weeks or months. When the equipment is in stock in either of Robopac’s US facilities, we typically do not remove the equipment from its original shipping materials.

Robopac has reported no cases of COVID-19 in any of our facilities in the US or Italy. We are operating with essential personnel only in both of our US facilities, so the human contact with any of our stored equipment is minimal.

If a customer is still concerned about the safety of a piece of equipment, The World Health Organization (WHO) has advised that the virus can be killed with a simple disinfectant. https://www.who.int/news-room/q-a-detail/q-a-coronaviruses The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has provided an extensive list of commercially available disinfecting products that are effective against COVID-19. https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2

Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Valued Customers and Contacts,

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are providing you with an update detailing the measures we are implementing to ensure our ability to provide the highest levels of service as we limit our employees potential exposure to this outbreak.

  • Our operations in the USA and Italy are fully operational

  • The Italian government ordinance confirmed the free circulation of goods from Italy. Trucks are arriving daily to pick up machines from the plant for shipment.

  • Our team is fully at your disposal. Our employees have been encouraged to work from home if their position allows. We have the technology in place to ensure business will run seamlessly and without interruption.

  • Our service teams are still available to address any issues remotely or on-site if a situation arises.

  • Our parts department is open and fully operational. Most parts orders are shipped out the same day from our facility in Duluth, GA.

Robopac USA has approximately 350 machines in inventory at our Duluth facility. Upon receipt of a purchase order, our commitment is to have the equipment shipped within 48 hours. Our commitment is to continue to provide the highest level of service with no disruptions in our operations.

As part of our plan, we have implemented numerous precautions to protect our employees from potential exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to monitor the development of this situation and will continue to implement best practices to control and limit the potential outbreak for our employees and visitors.
